Burt Williams — CEO

Burt Williams has over 40 years of experience in energy related management. Prior to Rimrock Resource Partners, LLC, Burt was Founder and CEO of White Stone Energy, LLC (2001) where his responsibilities included executive management duties for White Stone and its client companies. From 2005 to 2008, Burt took leave of his responsibilities at White Stone in order to accept a role with Macquarie Bank where he became CEO of Macquarie Longview Acquisitions, a Macquarie Bank upstream investment vehicle formed in 2006. Macquarie Longview operated 5 fields, associated gathering systems, and a gas processing plant in SW Arkansas. Under Burt's leadership, these assets where sourced, acquired, optimized, drilled and exited in 2008, delivering a significant return to equity. Between 2009 and 2014 White Stone managed 4 companies on behalf of 2 financial institutions, Macquarie Bank and Brevet Capital. White Stone's focus was on returning the company's assets to profitability and designing a successful exit strategy. Prior to founding White Stone Energy in 2001, Burt was Director of Business Development at Torch Energy Advisors, a leading energy industry asset manager and advisory firm. Burt began his career in 1981 with the Land Department at Texaco, Inc. in New Orleans.

Chris Weatherl — COO

Chris Weatherl has over 20 years of oil and gas experience both domestically and internationally. He spent the initial 15 years of his career with Apache Corporation in Houston, Argentina, and Egypt, returning to Tulsa in 2012 as their Central Region Reservoir Engineering Manager before leaving the company in 2015.  Most recently Chris served as founding partner, board member, and COO of Tulsa-based Rebellion Energy I and II, with assets in the SCOOP/Merge plays in Oklahoma as well as the Powder River Basin in Wyoming.

Beth Bounds — CFO

Beth Bounds joined the Rimrock team in September 2021 with 16 years of finance and accounting experience in the oil and gas industry. Most recently at Samson Resources Company, Beth led the finance and treasury team. She also gained invaluable experience managing operational accounting and corporate reporting teams during her tenure at Samson where Beth led or actively participated in many initiatives including 2 accounting system conversions; data warehouse redesign; design and implementation of internal controls; and bankruptcy reporting. Beth graduated from Oklahoma State University summa cum laude with a B.S. in Business Administration (Finance & Accounting).

Brian Bounds — VP of Reservoir Engineering

Brian Bounds brings over 25 years of experience in reservoir engineering. Over his career, he has analyzed and characterized several domestic assets including SCOOP/STACK, Haynesville, Appalachia Basin, East Texas, Permian, Powder River and other conventional and resource plays. Most recently Brian worked for Tapstone Energy on its NW STACK assets. He also worked for Samson Resources, Chesapeake Energy, Dominion Resources and Munro-Garrett International (Landmark Graphics). Brian holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas Tech University and is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

Brenda Bacon — VP of Accounting

Brenda Bacon joined the Rimrock team with over 25 years of industry experience. She comes to us from Armor Energy, LLC where she has spent the last 7 years as the Financial Controller overseeing all areas of Accounting and Human Resources. Prior to Armor Energy, Brenda spent 18 years at Samson Resources Company where she worked her way through most areas of accounting with an emphasis in operational accounting. She has led teams through computer conversions and SOX implementation. Brenda graduated from Missouri Southern State University with a BSBA in Accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant.

Steven Garrison — VP of Operations

Steven Garrison has over 25 years of oil and gas experience. He spent the first 14 years of his career with Baker Hughes (Baker Oil Tools Division) in Farmington NM, Bakersfield CA, and made his way back to Oklahoma. In 2011, Steven joined Unit Petroleum as a Drilling Engineer drilling wells in the Granite Wash, Red Fork, Mississippian, Marchand and Medrano formations. Prior to joining the Rimrock team, he was the VP of Operations for GDP Drilling based in Tulsa. Steve graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a B.S. in Engineering Physics.

Jared Rogers — Manager of Oil & Gas Marketing

Jared Rogers joined the Rimrock team in April 2023 with 13 years of oil and gas experience. Most recently, Jared worked for Coterra Energy as a Gas Marketing Representative covering both the Mid-Continent and Permian assets. Jared's most recent position was as a Senior Gas Marketing Representative where he was responsible for scheduling and marketing over 40,000 bpd of NGLs while assisting in the marketing of over 700 MMCF of gas across both the Anadarko and Permian Regions. Prior to Coterra Energy, Jared spent 8 years at SandRidge Energy with roles in Accounting and Supply Chain. Jared holds a B.B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Masters of Energy Legal Studies (MLS) from Oklahoma City University.

Patrick Shortess — Landman

Patrick Shortess is a Land Professional with 15 years of experience. Patrick started his career as a field landman in 2008 working across North, South and East Texas handling all facets of landwork for various clients. In 2011, Patrick went to work for a Dallas, TX based independent operator focused on drilling shallow conventional fields in Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma. In 2014 Patrick began his employment with Unit Petroleum Company overseeing land matters of existing properties and rig programs stretching from the Oklahoma Panhandle to the Southern Oklahoma Hoxbar Oil Trend (SOHOT) area in Grady County. This mix of past experiences from a field landman, small independent operator to a publicly traded Operator has helped expose Patrick to many aspects of the energy business along the way. Patrick holds a B.A. in Sociology from Oklahoma State University.

Samantha Hunt — Manager of Applications, Data & Analytics

Samantha Hunt is a technical systems analyst professional with over 9 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. From her days at Stonebridge Consulting to her previous position as a Business Systems Analyst with Coterra Energy (formerly Cimarex), she has in-depth technical knowledge of numerous industry-specific software and applications utilized to support users in exploration and drilling to sales and accounting. She has led efforts in all phases of the software development cycle, from gathering business requirements and transforming them into technical solutions, to testing, deployment and support. She truly enjoys learning about new ways to solve data and redundancy issues via automation and analytics. Samantha graduated from Westminster College magna cum laude with a B.A. in Business Administration.
